It was a good show, although at times, predictable. I'll post my opinion and synopsis tomorrow, after everyone has had a chance to see it.

It's always good to see a clone of former college girlfriend in looks and deeds, aka "Bourbonais Bitch Witch", get the first boot at tribal council.
This season is looking up!

This is what a great premiere should be. A chance to get to know people and lots of BIG personalities. These people want to play and they understand the game, WAY better than last season's cast. Even the people I don't like I want to watch. Kudos to the casting team.

I agree... the only bad part of the entire episode was that the challenge was a freakin puzzle... UGH
Lynne outdid herself.. great cast. Of course I got randomly assigned to SO in my Survivor Pool and SO I am out of that money...hahahaaha

There is someone on the Survivor puzzle team that did the same puzzles as I did growing up. As a wee little tyke I had a vinyl version of tonight's 5 piece puzzle to keep me occupied on a 747 flight to Europe. Weird.

How long did you take to put it together?
Things I liked...
90 minute preview
focus on the first 60 minutes on just the people... I got a chance to meet them all and get a feel for them.
I liked the fact that a lot of true fans were on the show.
Things I didn't like.
The challenge. It is the first challenge... couldn't we do a real physical challenge? I mean it is the first challenge of the season... they have the strength.. you have the water... how about a true physical challenge... even swim out to the deck.. grab a ball... swim back in and tale a shot into the basket. Once you shoot, the next person goes. 5 pts wins... Puzzles are so boring.
I also didn't like that I knew SO was going right out of the gate when she was the first one speaking...UGH and to think I got her in a random Survivor pool... I knew I was doomed right from the start.
Another thing to ponder is...3 tribes... 1st place gets immunity and a reward... 2nd place gets immunity.. 3rd place goes home. I like that. Nice job.
Overall I think it is going to a very interesting season.
I think Dan is on thin Ice from Blue, as well as Vince from No collar and I hope Joaquin from the whites... I dislike that man.

It's actually a fun, easy puzzle. It was sad to see no team choose the option. Granted they didn't know what was in the bag and Probst made it sound scary difficult but with only 5 pieces the number of permutations to solve a puzzle is low, low, low. Obviously no rocket scientists present this season. I was kind of hoping that there would be some transitioned collars on the teams. For example a white collar rocket scientist like me that quit their job and has become a lazy good for nothing no collar. Or maybe a blue collar that had recently been promoted to white collar management or union representative. Who wants to bet that at least one of the no collars are the offspring of well off white collar parents who have the luxury of being a perpetual student or vegan commune living hippie? The girlfriend was predicting this was a great set-up for the producers to promote stereo-typical behavior in the tribes and it sure seems like the players are proudly playing along with the concept. I suspect they will continue with their "roles" even after there are merges or swaps between tribes - even if that's a stupid thing to do. Whoever is able to best navigate the societal stratification should go far. And there's no doubt that the white collar team will win big when they have the Gantt chart challenge.
