Ken Raskoff has worked for a total of 5 years in 2 periods at Survivor Casting, before recently returning to work with Mark Burnett’s as Senior Vice President of scripted features and TV. Ken talks with Rob about the challenges the casting department faces each season and how casting the show is a lot more complex than it might seem.

I had listened to the the Ken interview prior. What I take from these interviews and I am sure I am in the minority, these CA's take their jobs very serious, but because they go through so many people they lose their connection to the more reserved applicants. By seeing so many people they become numb and if you don't completely blow them away with your looks or being a 20 something party person or bat shit crazy, you have a very good chance of being ignored and never given the same opportunity that others in the a fore mentioned categories get.
